His coaching record at Grambling was 0 wins, 2 losses, and 0 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him seventh at Grambling in total wins and seventh at Grambling in winning percentage (.000).〔(Grambling State Tigers coaching records )〕 Johnson was also the postmaster of Grambling, Louisiana while he coached.〔https://www.newspapers.com/newspage/40853226/〕
